So you have a virus. This can become a very big deal. Viruses
such as, a dialer, trojan horse, worm, and others can total destroy and cause
you to lose a lot of content on your computer.
Get Protection!
If you don't already yet, get a virus blocker program like Mcafee
or Norton. They may cost money,
but it's better than having a messed up computer. If you already have a program
make sure it's kept up to-date, so it can't block the latest viruses. Another
thing is when scanning your computer you may have to to it more than once. One
scan may not detect everything.
Viruses aren't the only things you need protection from.
Spyware is another big thing. Spyware makes your computer an easy attack for
viruses. To get protection you may want to try a program called Spybot.
With spybot you just scan your computer and delete the files it detects.
Worse Comes to Worse?
You can't always remove a virus entirely from your system.
Sometimes you have to do a system restore or completly re-do everyhting on your
computer using the set-up disks it came with. System restore should be the first
thing you try though. Completely re-doing your computer can take hours and hours
depending if you know what your doing and if not your better off bringing it to
your nearest computer store.
